This is the second in a series of four articles about America's end.
Signs of America’s Judgment
God doesn’t pull surprises. He’s just not that way.
Nor does anything ever catch Him by surprise. Nothing. He has a plan, a
sovereign plan, a plan for the ages. He
is in control, fully. Not fate, not circumstance, not Satan or evil, not
evolutionary progression, not technology or education, not even moral law or
the demise thereof.
When big events are ready to occur He gives signs
to men, men who would believe. He is not renegade, He is not cavalier, He is
not haphazard. God is very purposeful in
the unfolding of world events, and very revealing of his plan. That has always
been true, and it is still true today. “God does nothing without first
revealing it to the prophets” (Amos 3:7)
What would it take to get you to believe that God
is in control, that He is doing something momentous in this very time -- by His
plan, by His design? What would it take
to get you to believe that signs and wonders, in our day, are not mere
circumstance, but God’s harbingers? What would it take for “Mr. Churchman” to
break free from the normalcy bias, to come out of his stupor and quit believing
that America is so great it cannot fall, and that if it stumbles it can
recover, or go to war to reclaim its supremacy?
What would it take? Can anything
alert us to the fact that God is about to do something momentous?
Here are some signs to consider. The stock market crashes
of 2001 and 2008 both occurred on Elul 29, the very last day of the Jewish Shemitah
year. In my opinion these were not mere market corrections but rather God’s
hand, and a sign of judgment to come. The current Shemitah year ends on Elul
29, as always, which is Sep 13 this year, 2015. Financial experts are predicting
America’s financial collapse, some even saying the stock market will soon fall
70%. The four blood moons may be another God-sign, the last of which occurs
this coming Sep 28 (look at Acts 2:20, quoting the prophecy of Joel). The Jubilee
years may be another sign, not of America’s end, though, but of Christ’s
return. But, as we shall consider more fully, later, America’s end will occur “one
hour” prior to the Lord’s second coming. It was Jubilee year when the land of Israel
was given back to the Jews in 1917 (Balfour Declaration), and again when the
city of Jerusalem was given back to the Jews in 1967 (seven day war). And it
may well be this next Jubilee year when God will give the temple site back to
the Jews (2016). That may be when the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords
returns to Jerusalem. But to me the
greatest sign of America’s end is in the prophetic visions of Revelation. More
on that later.

America's End (part 1 of 4)
Warning: Reading this article may raise your blood pressure. You may want to throw it in the trash before you get to the point of downright anger. If you want to lash out at the author feel free, but don’t take it out on my wife or our cat. My wife merely humors me, and Rascals knows nothing.
America may soon be coming to an end – the end of its zenith of power, control, wealth and dominance. For most, I reckon, that is beyond imagination. Unfathomable. And for all of us, perhaps, it is certainly not something we are in any way prepared for. Stop to realize, though, every other world power has fallen from its zenith, yet we believe America is too great to end. However, America is ripe for judgment. The other nations fell according to God’s plan, according to His judgment, exactly on his timeline. Not because of fate or mere circumstance. God will not be mocked, He has a purpose for everything under the sun. Everything. He may be patient and slow to anger, but when He finally brings down judgment, it will not be pretty. We may still be alive, but we will not be very happy. America’s end is right at the door.
America – Deserving of Judgment?
We view America through gilded glasses. We are tainted by wealth, power, pleasure, ease, and freedom. We have not realized fully America’s gradual demise. Like a frog sitting in a pan of water rising to the boiling point we are unaware of impending doom until the blood begins to boil.
Our national desire for wealth and ease of living has run the national debt up into the trillions. We do not see the weight of such greed, but it is like filling a dump truck with tons of gravel and trying to balance it on top of a wheelbarrow. It will soon collapse, and the fall will be devastating. We who have enjoyed almost every luxury our minds could conceive will soon be living a subsistence existence. Think about that term, subsistence existence, and what it might look like.
America has been condoning, promoting, and performing abortions for over 40 years now – the death and destruction of innocent unborn children for the sake of convenience. The grave cries out for justice. Screams for justice. And justice will be meted out by the hand of God Almighty. We have been led into the town square of Sodom and Gomorrah and Mr. Churchman thinks we can still turn back the tide of the LGBT’s growing control of our society. Our children are taught in the once hallowed classrooms of our schools that evolution is our source of origin, that everyone’s choices are acceptable and to be tolerated, that God is a silly archaic notion. With the meteoric rise of the technological age America has become the single greatest producer and consumer of pornography throughout the world, destroying the very souls of countless men, women, and children. Countless! Lest you do not understand the importance of the technological revolution, it has been the false prophet that has enabled America’s ascent to world dominance (Rev 13:11-18, don’t miss it!). Technology seems innocent, but it is diabolically and deceptively powerful, a lamb that speaks like a dragon. That is God’s view, not mine, because to tell you the truth I have a cell phone and a television, I have a computer and I use the internet. But believe me, America, God views the dragon, not the lamb.

Are You Ready, America?
How could they miss it?
How could they possibly miss it? There it was, a boat – a giant boat. It was on the front page of every newspaper
in the known world. A boat as large as a 40-story downtown high-rise, laid on
its side. But only Noah was prepared to enter the ark, while everyone else
ignored the sign, ignored the message, and carried on as usual (Mt 24:38). They
had eyes, but did not see, ears, but did not hear.
Why? They assumed that the
likelihood of a catastrophic flood was zero. Centuries later, when the magi
came to Jerusalem asking where the King of the Jews was to be born, the
religiously astute leaders told them the place – Bethlehem. But did they go along? No. Why? They assumed
that the likelihood of Messiah being born in their lifetime, in that podunk
village of Bethlehem was zero. They did not see, they did not hear. The
scriptures that they so revered were useless to a heart that could not
understand, that would not believe. They were not prepared!
Christians in churches
throughout America debate whether they are pre-trib, or not. Pre-millennial, or
not. But are any of them pre-pared? How about you? Are you ready?
Ready for what? Jesus
said, “Keep watch, because you do not know what day your Lord will come… You
must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect
him.” (Mt 24:42,44) Are you ready to meet Jesus -- face to face, heart to heart,
at any moment?
But are you ready for what
will happen even before that? God has
revealed it pretty clearly, but most Christians in America consider the
likelihood about zero. Egypt was an incredible
dynasty, for centuries, and could not fathom that it would ever falter, or
collapse. Assyria, the same. And the
four beast empires of Daniel 7 – Babylon the lion, Persia the bear, Greece the
leopard, and Rome, the terrifying beast – they all thought they would go on
forever, that the likelihood of their demise was zero.
The seventh beast, the
beast of Revelation 13, the great empire of America, will also collapse. Soon.
Very soon. Banks and retirement plans
will fail, dollars will be hard to come by, and nearly useless. Water, food,
gas, and electricity will be in short supply. Those who survive in the coming
subsistence existence will be marked by love and community, sharing and caring,
hard work and ingenuity. Are you ready, America?
Oh, yes, I almost forgot. This
“prediction” doesn’t fit the plan of the end of the age as Christians have come
to believe, especially in America. We have been taught that Christians will be
raptured before a great seven-year Tribulation, and that any and all distress
and judgment will come upon the world after we are gloriously rescued. If that
is what you have been taught then you need to wake up and smell the roses.
America is going down. The merchants of the world will watch in dumbstruck awe
as she goes up in flames (Rev 18). An eighth beast will replace America, a beast
with ten horns. This Arab alliance will oppress the world for just “one hour”,
leading up to the return of Christ (Rev 17). We need to see, we need to hear,
what God has prescribed, what is being fulfilled in our lifetime, almost
certainly. Are you ready, America?
The economic collapse of
America is inevitable and imminent. While most are not willing to
predict dates, they are profuse with evidence for its certainty. Like a trumpet
warning of impending danger, God’s hand of judgment will serve also as a call
to repent. How will we respond?
Theology
is more than just talk!
